Configure a board column

Adjust work-in-progress limits and visibility for an individual board column.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open column settings​

Select the Settings icon on the column header to open the column configuration popover.

Step 2: Review current column details​

Check the column name, current WIP limit and task count to understand the column's current configuration.

Step 3: Update the work-in-progress limit​

Enter a new number in the WIP limit field to cap how many tasks can be in this column at one time, then apply or save the change.

Step 4: Collapse or expand the column​

Toggle the collapse option to quickly hide or show the column's task list while keeping the column visible on the board.

Step 5: Hide or show the column​

Use the hide option to remove the column from the visible board and unhide it later when it is needed again.

Step 6: Close the settings popover​

Click anywhere outside the popover or use the close control to return to the main board view.
