Edit a workspace item
Update the details of an existing workspace item (task, milestone, or query) including status, assignee, dates and effort.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the workspace item editor
From your project workspace, select the item you want to edit; the Workspace Item Edit view opens and loads the current details of the selected task, milestone, or query.

Step 2: Review current item details
Check the existing name, description, status, priority, assignee, due date, completion percentage, and hours to understand what needs updating.

Step 3: Update basic information
Edit the item name and description fields to reflect the latest requirements or scope for the work.

Step 4: Adjust status and priority
Use the status options and priority selector (high, medium, or low) to show the current progress and urgency of the item.

Step 5: Change assignee and due date
Select a project member to assign the item to and update the due date so the responsible person and schedule are clear.

Step 6: Update progress and effort
Enter or adjust the completion percentage, estimated hours, and actual hours to keep tracking accurate.

Step 7: Save your changes
Select the Save button to submit the form; the system validates and updates the workspace item, then returns you to the workspace or previous view.

Step 8: Cancel without saving
If you do not want to keep your changes, select the Back or Cancel action to leave the editor and return to the previous screen without updating the item.
