Manage project details and custom insights

Update core project information and configure custom insight fields to capture additional project attributes.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the project details panel

In your project view, open the section that shows the Project Details and Project Insights panels so you can review and edit the project’s information.

Step 2: Update core project information

In the Project Details section, edit key fields such as project name, client or organisation, location, tags and status; use the provided inputs, text areas and selectors to adjust each value as required.

Step 3: Adjust scheduling and descriptive fields

Where available, update date-related fields (for example planned start or end dates) and extend the project description or notes using the text area to keep context current.

Step 4: Switch to Project Insights (custom fields)

Navigate to the Project Insights section to view existing custom fields that provide additional project context beyond the standard details.

Step 5: Add a new custom field

Use the add control (plus icon) to create a new custom field, then choose its type (such as text, number, date, boolean, email, URL, select or multiselect) from the field type options.

Step 6: Configure custom field label and key

Enter a clear label for the custom field; the system will generate a corresponding key, which you can copy using the clipboard icon if you need to reference it elsewhere.

Step 7: Set custom field options and values

For selectable field types, define the list of allowed options, then provide or update the field’s value for this project so that the custom data is captured correctly.

Step 8: Remove unwanted custom fields

Use the delete (bin) icon to remove any custom field that is no longer needed, confirming the action if prompted so it no longer appears for the project.

Step 9: Save project details and insights

When you have finished editing, select the save option in the panel to apply your changes; a loading indicator may appear while the updates are processed, and a confirmation toast will show once saving is complete.
