Amend a submitted form
Update an existing submission by editing its answers and providing an amendment note for audit purposes.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the amend submission dialog
From the relevant submission view, select the option to amend the submission. The Amend Submission dialog opens, showing the current answers in a read-only layout or form preview, ready for editing.

Step 2: Review existing answers
Scroll through the fields displayed in the dialog and review the existing answers, using the field labels and any help text to confirm which parts of the submission need to be changed.

Step 3: Switch between form and JSON edit modes
Choose how you want to make changes by selecting either the form mode (to edit each field using standard inputs) or the JSON mode (to edit the full submission as structured JSON text), depending on your preference and the complexity of the change.

Step 4: Amend answers in form mode
In form mode, update the necessary fields directly using the provided inputs, such as text boxes, dropdowns, or other controls, ensuring each amended value reflects the required correction.

Step 5: Amend answers in JSON mode
In JSON mode, carefully edit the JSON representation of the submission, adjusting only the values that need to change and keeping the structure valid so that the system can accept the amended data.

Step 6: Add an amendment note
Enter a clear note explaining what has been changed and why, so there is a transparent audit trail associated with this amended submission.

Step 7: Submit the amended submission
Once you have finished editing and added your note, submit the amendment. The system validates your changes, saves the updated submission, and closes the dialog, confirming that the submission has been successfully amended.
