Configure form field properties
Configure the label, options, and behaviour of a field in a form so it captures information in the way your workflow requires.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the field editor
In the form builder, select the field you want to configure so that the Field properties panel opens, showing the field’s current settings and a Remove button.

Step 2: Update the field label
In the Label box, type a clear, user-facing name for the field; your changes are applied immediately to how the field is shown in the form.

Step 3: Configure selectable options (for choice fields)
For Select, Radio, or Multi-select fields, add, rename, or remove options so respondents can only choose from the values you define.

Step 4: Set default values and constraints
Use the default value controls and required setting to pre-fill the field when appropriate and make it mandatory where needed.

Step 5: Manage workflow section assignment (when enabled)
If workflow sections are available, adjust the assignment type and select which other fields belong to this section so that the workflow behaves as intended.

Step 6: Add nested fields to repeater sections
For repeater fields, choose additional field types from the palette to embed repeatable child fields within the repeating group.

Step 7: Remove a field from the form
To delete the field from your form, select Remove in the Field properties panel and confirm if prompted; the field and its configuration are discarded.
