Use the Budget Overview widget to understand your total budget, spend, remaining funds and overall financial health at a glance.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Budget Overview widget

Locate the Budget Overview widget on your financial dashboard to see a snapshot of your total budget, amount spent and remaining balance in your project currency.

Step 2: Check overall budget health and variance

Review the budget health status indicator to see if you are on track, at risk or over budget, and examine the variance amounts and percentages compared to the original plan.

Step 3: Review category-level planned vs actual costs

Look through the cost categories to compare planned versus actual spend, using the visual indicators and colours to identify areas that are overspending or underspending.

Step 4: Examine forecast at completion

Review the forecast-at-completion value to understand the projected final cost of the work relative to your total budget.

Step 5: Refresh the budget data

Use the refresh control on the widget to reload the latest financial data from the underlying data source.
