Configure and complete dynamic form fields

Use dynamically rendered fields (sections, checkboxes, dropdowns and signatures) to structure, capture and validate information in a form.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Review section headings

Browse the form and use the section headings to understand how questions are grouped and which area of the form you are currently completing.

Step 2: Read field labels and help text

For each field, read the label and any on-screen help text to understand what information is required and how it should be entered; note that labels marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Step 3: Tick checkboxes where applicable

For checkbox fields, click the checkbox to enable or disable the option; the field updates immediately to reflect your selection.

Step 4: Choose options from dropdown lists

For single- or multi-select fields, open the dropdown, review the available options and select the most appropriate value; any disabled options will be visibly unavailable.

Step 5: Respect locked fields

When a field shows a "Locked" badge, understand that it cannot be edited and its current value is fixed, for example because it is controlled by another process or user permission.

Step 6: Provide signatures when required

Where a signature field is present, use the on-screen signature pad to add your signature and confirm agreement or approval as requested by the form.

Step 7: Address validation errors

If an error message appears beneath a field, adjust your input according to the guidance in the message so that the form can be successfully submitted.
