Build a custom form
Use the form builder to create and configure a custom form, including fields, workflow, defaults, and automated tasks.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the form builder
Navigate to the form builder interface where you can see the palette of available fields on one side and the current form layout on the other.

Step 2: Add fields to your form
Use the Field Palette to add new fields to the form; click a field type to insert it, then drag and drop to reorder fields into the desired sequence.

Step 3: Configure individual field settings
Select a field in the form layout to open the Field Editor, then adjust properties such as label, type, validation rules, and any field-specific options.

Step 4: Preview the form
Switch to preview mode to see how the form will appear to end users and confirm that fields, order, and basic behaviour look correct.

Step 5: Enable and configure workflow by sections
Open the settings panel and choose the workflow tab to enable workflow, select a workflow mode, and configure section-level settings for how the form progresses.

Step 6: Set default values, locked, and hidden fields
In the defaults tab of the settings panel, specify default prefilled values for fields and choose which fields should be locked or hidden by default.

Step 7: Configure on-submit tasks
In the tasks tab, define what should happen when the form is submitted, such as creating tasks, triggering automations, or updating related items.

Step 8: Review template references and variables
In the references tab, review the available template variables that can be used within the form or its follow-up tasks, ensuring they are correctly referenced.

Step 9: Save or cancel your form configuration
When you are satisfied with the configuration, click Save to apply your changes or Cancel to discard them and return without updating the form.
