Manage template variables in a template
Use template variable chips to review, preview and adjust the dynamic fields used in your templates.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Review template variables in your template
Open your template and locate the list of template variables, shown as coloured chips with an icon (such as user, organisation, project, form or date) and the variable label.

Step 2: Hover to see variable details
Move your cursor over a variable chip to display a tooltip with the full description of what that variable represents in your template.

Step 3: Check example preview values
Look at the “Preview” line beneath the variable label on each chip to see an example value, helping you confirm you are using the correct variable.

Step 4: Edit a template variable configuration
Click a variable chip (or press Enter when it is focused) to open its edit options, where available, and adjust how the variable is used in your template.

Step 5: Remove a variable from your template
Use the remove control associated with the chip (for example, a close or delete action in the surrounding interface) to remove that variable from your template when it is no longer needed.
