Filter usage by project, person, and activity

Use the usage filter bar to narrow reports by project, person, or activity type so you can focus on specific work and team members.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the usage view with the filter bar

Navigate to the usage section (Projects or Employees tab) where the filter bar with the Filter icon and dropdowns is displayed above the usage results.

Step 2: Filter usage by project

In the Project dropdown, choose a specific project to show only usage records related to that project; the ranked list and drill-down breakdowns refresh to match your selection.

Step 3: Filter usage by person

In the Person dropdown, select an individual team member to focus on their usage only, or select All people to include everyone again.

Step 4: Filter usage by activity type

In the Activity type dropdown, choose a specific activity (such as billable, non-billable, or another category) so the usage results show only that type of work.

Step 5: Combine multiple filters

Apply a combination of project, person, and activity type filters at the same time to drill down into a very specific slice of usage data.

Step 6: Clear all active filters

When any filters are active, use the clear option (X icon) in the filter bar to remove all selections and return to the full, unfiltered usage view.
