Configure an automation schedule
Use the schedule picker to choose when an automation should run, either by selecting a preset or defining a custom schedule using a cron expression.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the schedule picker
Navigate to the automation configuration screen and click the schedule field to open the Schedule Picker dropdown, showing available scheduling options.

Step 2: Review preset schedule categories
In the Schedule Picker, browse the grouped presets such as weekly, daily and monthly, each showing a clear label and description of when the automation will run.

Step 3: Select a preset schedule
Click a preset option (for example, “Every weekday at 9 AM” or “First of every month”) to apply its cron expression; the selected preset is highlighted and the schedule field updates to reflect your choice.

Step 4: Choose a custom schedule option
If available, select the custom schedule option in the list to indicate that you want to define a more advanced or specific run pattern instead of using a preset.

Step 5: Apply and save the schedule
Confirm your chosen preset or custom schedule so the cron expression is stored for the automation, then save or update the automation configuration to ensure it runs at the selected times.
