Upload files to a form field
Use the file upload field to add one or more files to a form, including via drag and drop, and manage existing attachments.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the form containing the file upload field
Navigate to the relevant form and scroll to the section that includes the file upload field, identified by its label and any accompanying hint text.

Step 2: Review how many files you can upload
Check any notes next to the field indicating whether multiple files are allowed and if there is a maximum number of files you can attach.

Step 3: Add files using the upload button
Select the upload button or file picker within the field, choose one or more files from your computer (up to the allowed limit), and confirm to start uploading.

Step 4: Add files by dragging and dropping
Drag one or more files from your computer and drop them onto the highlighted upload area; when you drag over the field, it will visually indicate that it is ready to accept files.

Step 5: Monitor upload progress
Wait while the files upload; a progress indicator shows how many files have been processed, and the field is temporarily disabled while uploading is in progress.

Step 6: Review uploaded attachments
After uploading completes, check the list of attached files displayed in the field, each showing its filename so you can confirm the correct documents have been added.

Step 7: Handle upload limits and errors
If you try to upload more files than allowed, review the error message explaining how many files could be uploaded and adjust your selection before trying again.

Step 8: Add more files if allowed
If the maximum file limit has not yet been reached, use the upload button or drag and drop again to attach additional files until you reach the allowed number.

Step 9: Complete the form
Once all required files have been uploaded and any error messages are resolved, continue completing the rest of the form and submit it as usual.
