Completing required actions in a form

Use required action cards to review and complete key tasks within a form, and confirm when each item is finished.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Review your list of required actions

On the form page, locate the list of required action cards showing each item you must complete, such as signatures, uploads, or workflow sections. Cards marked as required appear with a dashed border and a terracotta icon area.

Step 2: Open a required action

Select a required action card to open its associated control, such as a signature box or file upload. The card behaves like a large button, ensuring it is easy to tap on mobile devices.

Step 3: Read the guidance text

Use the title and helper text on the card to understand what you need to do and who or what it relates to, such as "Add your signature" with a short explanation below.

Step 4: Complete the underlying task

In the panel, modal, or form section that opens, fill in the required information or perform the requested action, then save or confirm according to the on-screen instructions.

Step 5: Confirm the action is marked as done

After completing the task, return to the required action list and check that the card now shows a solid border, a sage "done" appearance, and a check icon in the circle, confirming it has been completed.

Step 6: Continue with any remaining actions

Work through each remaining "to do" card until all required actions are shown in the completed state, ensuring nothing is missed before you submit the overall form or workflow.
