Add and manage form signatures

Use the signature field in a form to collect, review, and reuse digital signatures from respondents.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open a form with a signature field

Navigate to a shared or public form that includes a signature field; you will see an option labelled "Add your signature" where the signer can provide their digital signature.

Step 2: Add a signature as an anonymous respondent

As an anonymous user with no account, select the "Add your signature" action to open the signature capture interface and draw or confirm the required signature for the form.

Step 3: Complete a signature without saving it

When signing without being signed in, confirm the signature to attach it to the form submission; no "save for next time" option will appear, so the signature is only used for this response.

Step 4: Use a prefilled signature when signed in

When you open a form while signed in, the signature field automatically loads your saved signer name and signature so you can quickly confirm or update it before submitting.

Step 5: Confirm your signature details

Review the prefilled signer name shown alongside the completed signature; update it if required before you mark the signature step as done and proceed with the rest of the form.

Step 6: Continue even if your saved signature cannot be loaded

If your saved signature cannot be retrieved (for example, when you are offline), the field still allows you to add a new signature so that you can complete and submit the form without delay.
