Track permit workflow progress
Use the public workflow stepper to see each permit step, its status, and what action is required next.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the permit workflow summary
Navigate to the permit’s public workflow page to see a summary banner showing whether the overall workflow is not started, in progress, or completed, based on the status of all sections.

Step 2: Review each workflow step in order
Scroll through the ordered list of workflow sections, which are automatically sorted by step number so you can clearly see the sequence of actions for this permit.

Step 3: Check the status and required action for a step
Look at each step’s status indicator and action label, such as "Fill in permit request", "Sign & acknowledge", or "Close permit", to understand what needs to be done or whether the step is already completed.

Step 4: Understand why a step is locked or waiting
For steps that are not yet available, read the waiting message explaining when they will unlock, for example after the permit is issued, after work is complete, or when the previous step has been finished.

Step 5: Open a step to view or act on details
Select a section in the workflow stepper to open its detailed view, where you can either review completed information or complete the required action for that step.
