Create a defect task from a flagged submission item

Create and assign a maintenance defect task directly from a flagged item in a form submission, with key details pre-filled.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the create defect task dialog​

From the flagged item actions in the submission detail view, select the option to create a defect task; the Create Defect Task dialog opens with the title and description pre-filled from the submission.

Step 2: Review and adjust the task title​

Check the automatically generated task title, which combines the check label and plant reference, and edit the text if you need to clarify the defect for your maintenance team.

Step 3: Confirm the defect description​

Review the plain-text preview of the description, which is based on the original HTML including photos, voice note links and operator notes; update the text if you want to add more context while the original rich content is still preserved on submission.

Step 4: Set the task priority​

Leave the default medium priority if it is appropriate, or change the priority level to reflect how urgently the defect should be addressed.

Step 5: Review or clear the suggested assignee​

Check the suggested maintenance owner shown as a read-only chip; if you prefer to leave the task unassigned, use the Clear option so the site manager can allocate it later.

Select the option to create or save the task; the task is created and linked to the originating submission and item index, and you will see confirmation or an error message if something goes wrong.
