Review locked permit guidance text
Review pre-populated permit guidance that is locked, clearly formatted, and not editable, so you can safely follow required site procedures.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open a form with locked permit guidance
Navigate to the relevant form and open the section that includes the "Open Permits" field, which will already be populated with guidance text and marked as locked.

Step 2: Read the formatted guidance content
In the locked "Open Permits" field, read the guidance shown as formatted text, including headings and bullet points, without seeing any raw markdown characters.

Step 3: Confirm the field cannot be edited
Check that the "Open Permits" guidance is displayed in a read-only region without a textarea or input, ensuring the content cannot be changed accidentally.

Step 4: Verify the guidance is easy to read
Confirm that the locked guidance text appears in full contrast, rather than greyed out, so it remains legible during your review.

Step 5: Check accessibility and locked status
Use your screen reader or visually confirm the "Locked" badge next to the "Open Permits" label so assistive technologies announce that the guidance is locked.

Step 6: Recognise when no guidance is set
If no guidance has been provided for the locked field, look for the "Not set" placeholder text to confirm that there is currently no pre-populated advice.
