Edit workspace item details
Update the key details of a workspace item (such as a task, milestone or query) including its name, description, status, priority, assignment and time tracking fields.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the workspace item for editing
Navigate to the relevant project workspace and select the item you want to edit; the edit view loads the current item details along with any associated task information.
Step 2: Review existing item information
Confirm that the correct item is displayed by checking its current name, description, status, priority and any visible assignment or time tracking values.
Step 3: Update basic item details
Change the item name and description to better reflect the current work requirements or clarify the purpose of the item.
Step 4: Adjust status and priority
Set the item’s status (for example open, in_progress, completed or overdue) and choose an appropriate priority (high, medium or low) to indicate urgency and current progress.
Step 5: Reassign the item
Select a project member in the Assigned to field to transfer or confirm responsibility for the item.
Step 6: Update scheduling and time estimates
Enter or amend the due date, estimated hours and actual hours to keep timelines and effort tracking accurate.
Step 7: Refine completion tracking
Adjust the completion percentage to reflect how much of the work has been done so far.
Step 8: Save changes
Select Save to submit your updates; the application validates your input, saves the item and returns you to the workspace view if used within the project workspace.
Step 9: Cancel without saving
Select the Back or Cancel action to discard any unsaved changes and return to the previous view.
