Complete a package and create its handover
Check a package, a group of related components, is fully finished, then create the handover, the record that formally passes it over, once it's ready.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the package
From your workspace or project, select the package you want to work on. You'll see tabs for overview, components, and completion.

Step 2: Check the package overview
In the Overview tab, check the title, tags, status, who's assigned, and key dates, so you know you're looking at the right package.

Step 3: Check how complete it is
Open the Components tab to see the list of components in the package, and check the progress bar and figures to see how far along it is.

Step 4: Refresh the completion figure
If components have changed recently, select Recalculate to update the completion percentage. Wait a moment while it refreshes.

Step 5: Confirm it's ready for handover
Make sure the completion bar shows 100% and everything needed is in place, before you go ahead and create the handover.

Step 6: Start the handover
Select Create handover to open the handover screen, where you'll set up how this completed package gets passed over.

Step 7: Give the handover a title (optional)
Type in a clear title for the handover, or leave it blank and PlanOps will use a default one based on the package name.

Step 8: Confirm and create it
Confirm to create the handover. PlanOps processes the request and lets you know once the new handover's been created.

Step 9: Check it went through
Look for the success message and reference number for the new handover, or check any error message if it didn't go through, and try again.
