Configure lifecycle item wizard for project workspaces
Use the lifecycle item wizard to create or update structured records for project workspaces, even when backend configurations change.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the lifecycle item wizard
Navigate to the relevant project workspace and start creating a new lifecycle item; the wizard opens automatically with the correct configuration for that lifecycle.

Step 2: Review the wizard loading state
Wait while the wizard loads its configuration from the backend; if needed, it safely falls back to the legacy layout without blocking you.

Step 3: Complete the lifecycle form steps
Work through each step of the wizard, filling in the required fields for the selected lifecycle, using any project-specific defaults that are pre-populated.

Step 4: Check for downgrade information banners
If a developer-only downgrade banner appears above the form, confirm with your technical team whether any configuration issues affect how you should complete the wizard.

Step 5: Review your lifecycle item before submission
On the final review step, check all captured details and any custom review footer content that may describe how the lifecycle item will be created in downstream systems.

Step 6: Submit or cancel the lifecycle item
Select the submit option to create the lifecycle item using the configured API, or choose cancel to abandon the wizard and return to the previous view.

Step 7: Confirm successful creation
After submission, verify that the success behaviour completes (for example, the wizard closes and the new lifecycle item appears in the workspace list).
