Learn how to recognise and interpret hold, witness, and notification badges shown against inspection items.

Steps

Step 1: Locate hold point badges on the screen

Navigate to an inspection or checklist where hold points are configured; look for small coloured badges next to each relevant item.

Step 2: Identify Hold Point requirements

When you see a red badge labelled "Hold Point" with a shield icon, understand that work on this item must stop until the required approval or inspection has been completed.

Step 3: Identify Witness Point requirements

When you see a yellow badge labelled "Witness Point" with an eye icon, understand that the work can proceed, but a designated party must be present to witness the activity.

When you see a blue badge labelled "Notify" with a bell icon, understand that the team must be informed about this activity, but no formal hold or witnessing is required.
