Manage workspace board columns and layout
Configure how items are grouped and displayed on the workspace board, including column visibility, order, and collapsed state.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the workspace board view
Navigate to the relevant project and open the workspace area where items are shown in a board layout with columns for each status or stage.

Step 2: Review board columns and item grouping
Observe how tasks, meetings, milestones and other items are grouped into columns by status, lifecycle stage, category or priority, depending on the current board configuration.

Step 3: Configure column settings
Open the column configuration options to adjust which columns are shown, their order, and any lifecycle code or stage settings used to organise the board.

Step 4: Save column configuration
Apply your changes and save the column configuration so that your preferred layout is stored as a board preference for this project.

Step 5: Collapse or expand individual columns
Use the collapse control on a column header to hide or reveal its contents, helping you focus on the most relevant stages or statuses.

Step 6: Drag and drop items between columns
Click and drag an item card from one column to another to update its status or lifecycle stage; the item will move and its status will be saved automatically.

Step 7: Quickly add new items in a column
Use the quick-add action in a column to create a new item that automatically inherits that column's status or stage.

Step 8: Open and update individual items
Select an item on the board to open its details, make any updates, and return to the board with the changes reflected in the relevant column.
