View timeline item details in the workspace schedule
Use the visual timeline bar to understand when an item is scheduled, its status, category, priority and whether it is on the critical path.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Locate the item on the workspace timeline
Find the coloured bar that represents your item within the timeline view, using its label, dates and position between the visible start and end of the schedule.

Step 2: Understand timing and duration from the bar
Read the bar’s horizontal position to see when the item starts and ends, and use its length to understand the overall duration within the project window.

Step 3: Identify the item’s category by colour
Use the main bar colour to recognise the item’s category, such as programme, task, meeting, milestone, deadline, procurement, handover or other workspace item types.

Step 4: Check priority using the colour strip
Look for the narrow priority strip on the bar to see whether the item is low, medium, high or urgent priority, based on its colour.

Step 5: See status and key details on hover
Move your mouse over the bar to highlight it and reveal additional details such as the item name, current status label and key dates.

Step 6: Highlight items on the critical path
When critical path highlighting is enabled, look for visually emphasised bars to see which items sit on the project’s critical path.

Step 7: Open the item for more information
Click the bar to open the underlying workspace item and view its full details, documents or related actions in the application.
