Open a newly created workspace item

Use the New Item menu to create a single workspace item and jump straight to its detail view once it has been created.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the New Item menu​

Select the "New Item" button in the workspace header to open the creation menu and see available item types such as RFIs.

Step 2: Start the RFI tracker wizard​

In the New Item menu, choose the RFI option to launch the RFI tracker wizard, which guides you through creating a new RFI item.

Step 3: Complete the creation flow​

Work through the wizard and finish the RFI creation; once an item is successfully created, a confirmation appears offering to open the new RFI.

Step 4: Open the newly created item​

Click the confirmation link or button to open the new RFI item and navigate directly to its detail page for immediate review or updates.

If the creation flow does not produce a single specific item (for example, when running a template chain), no "open" link is shown and you remain in the current view.
