Manage linked Packages and Temporary Works for a workspace item

Use the Linked items section to link or unlink Packages and Temporary Works to a specific workspace item, including creating new items on the fly.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the Linked items section for a workspace item​

Navigate to the workspace item detail page and scroll to the Linked items section, where you can see existing Package and Temporary Works links displayed as chips.

In the Linked items card (or embedded section), review any currently linked Packages and Temporary Works, shown as labelled chips with icons to distinguish each type.

In the Packages area, use the search or dropdown control to find an existing Package from the project, then select it to immediately add it as a linked chip for this workspace item.

If the Package you need does not exist, use the quick-create option in the Packages area to create a new Package; it will be created and linked to the workspace item in a single action.

In the Temporary Works area, search or browse for an existing Temporary Works item and select it to link it to the workspace item, adding it as a new chip in the list.

When a suitable Temporary Works record is not available, use the quick-create Temporary Works option to create a new entry that is automatically linked to the workspace item.

Step 7: Open linked items in their full detail views​

Click the link or external link icon on a Package or Temporary Works chip to open the full detail view in a new page or tab, allowing you to review or edit that item in depth.

Use the remove (X) icon on any linked chip to unlink that Package or Temporary Works from the workspace item; the chip is removed and the link is broken while the rest of the context remains intact.

Watch for the loading indicator while links update and check any toast messages displayed if a linking, unlinking, or quick-create action fails, then retry once the issue is resolved.
