Manage linked Packages and Temporary Works for a workspace item

Use this page to link or unlink Packages and Temporary Works to a specific workspace item, including quickly creating new records when needed.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the Linked Packages and Temporary Works section​

Navigate to the workspace item detail view and scroll to the section that shows linked Packages and Temporary Works for that item.

Open the Linked Packages and Temporary Works section

In the Packages area, open the search picker, start typing the package reference or title, select the correct Package from the results, and apply the link so it appears as a chip.

Link an existing Package

If the Package does not exist, use the quick-create option in the Packages area, enter the basic details requested, and confirm to create and immediately link the new Package to the workspace item.

Quickly create and link a new Package

In the Temporary Works area, open the search picker, search by reference or title, choose the appropriate Temporary Works item, and confirm so it is added as a linked chip.

Link existing Temporary Works

When the Temporary Works record does not yet exist, use the quick-create action, provide the minimal required details, and save to create and automatically link it to the current workspace item.

Quickly create and link new Temporary Works

Review the linked Packages and Temporary Works chips, and click the remove icon on any chip you no longer want linked; the system updates immediately and reverts if an error occurs.
