Manage linked Packages and Temporary Works for a workspace item

Use the Linked Packages & Temporary Works section to link, quickly create, and remove related items for a specific workspace item.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the workspace item Linked items section

Navigate to the workspace item detail page for your project and scroll to the Linked items section to view existing Package and Temporary Works links.

Step 2: Review currently linked Packages and Temporary Works

In the Linked items section, check the chips showing all Packages and Temporary Works already linked to this workspace item, including their codes and titles.

Use the Package search dropdown to find an existing project Package by name or reference, then select it to link it to the current workspace item.

If the Package you need does not exist, use the quick-create option in the Package control to create a new Package and link it to the workspace item in one action.

Use the Temporary Works search dropdown to find an existing Temporary Works item, then select it to link it to the current workspace item.

When a required Temporary Works entry is missing, use the quick-create option in the Temporary Works control to create and immediately link a new item.

To remove a relationship, select the X icon on the relevant Package or Temporary Works chip and confirm the change; the item will be unlinked from the workspace item.

Step 8: Open linked items in full detail

Use the external link icon on a Package or Temporary Works chip to open the full detail page for that linked item in a new view for further review or editing.
