Manage linked packages and temporary works

Use the Linked Package & Temporary Works section to link, quickly create, and unlink related items for a workspace record.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Linked Package & Temporary Works section

Navigate to the workspace item and scroll to the Linked Package & Temporary Works section to review any existing links or empty states.

Select the option to link a package, search or browse the available packages in the picker, and confirm to attach the chosen package to the workspace item.

Link an existing package

If the required package does not exist, use the quick-create action in the picker to create a new package record and have it automatically linked to the workspace item.

Open the temporary works picker, search or filter the list, and select one or more existing temporary works items to link them to the workspace item.

Use the quick-create option in the temporary works picker to add a new temporary works item, which is immediately linked to the current workspace item.

Step 6: Review linked chips and navigate if needed

Review the linked package and temporary works as chips in the section, and select a chip to navigate to the full details of that linked item if required.

Use the remove or close icon on a package or temporary works chip to unlink it from the workspace item while leaving the underlying record intact.

Step 8: Understand empty and muted states

When there are no linked packages or temporary works, review the muted empty state messaging that confirms nothing is currently linked and prompts you to add links if appropriate.
