Review programme task details from a hover preview
Use the hover card on programme activity chips to quickly review key task details such as schedule, status, progress, and criticality before opening the task.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Locate the programme activity chip
Navigate to the programme or plan view and identify the activity chip whose details you want to review; each chip shows the activity name and links to its full detail panel.

Step 2: Open the hover preview
Move your mouse over the activity chip or focus it with the keyboard; a hover card opens automatically, showing a concise summary without needing to click through.

Step 3: Check the task status and priority
In the hover card, review the status label (such as Planned, In progress, Completed, Delayed, Cancelled, On hold) and the priority level (Low, Medium, High, Urgent), both presented with clear text and supporting colours.

Step 4: Review schedule and timing
Read the scheduled dates shown in the hover card, formatted as a clear range such as "1 Jun 2026 → 4 Jun 2026" or as a single date where only one end of the schedule is known.

Step 5: Assess progress and criticality
Use the progress and critical path indicators in the hover card to understand how far the task has advanced and whether it is on the critical path, helping you judge its impact on the overall programme.

Step 6: Decide whether to open the full task view
Based on the hover preview, choose whether to click the chip to open the full activity detail panel, or move on to another activity without navigating away.
