Create an RFI using quick-add in the workspace
Use the workspace quick-add box to start a detailed RFI using the RFI wizard, without creating incomplete or hollow records.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the workspace quick-add box
Navigate to your project workspace and locate the quick-add input at the top of the item list where you can type new item titles.

Step 2: Start a new RFI by typing the RFI prefix
Click into the quick-add input and start your entry with "RFI:" followed by a brief summary, for example "RFI: Level 2 slab rebar spacing".

Step 3: Submit the quick-add entry
Press Enter to submit the text; this does not immediately create an RFI record, but instead opens the full RFI wizard with your typed summary pre-filled as the title (without the "RFI:" prefix).

Step 4: Complete the RFI wizard details
In the RFI wizard, review the pre-filled title, then add the question, select the relevant discipline, set deadlines and fill in any other required fields.

Step 5: Create the RFI from the wizard
When you finish entering details, submit the wizard to create the RFI once, ensuring it includes the question, discipline and other key information before it appears in the workspace.

Step 6: Use quick-add normally for non-RFI items
For other items such as tasks or milestones, type titles without the "RFI:" prefix and press Enter to create them directly from the quick-add box as before.
