Steps

Step 1: Open the lifecycle contextual actions panel

Navigate to the relevant lifecycle area (for example RAMS, RFI, or permits) and locate the "Safety actions" or lifecycle-specific actions panel, which appears as a bordered card with action buttons.

Step 2: Review available actions and any warnings

Check the heading to confirm which lifecycle you are working in and read any error or warning message shown in red text before proceeding with an action.

Step 3: Choose the appropriate lifecycle action

Look at the labelled buttons (for example "Request RAMS", "Review submission", "Raise permit to work", "Run RAMS audit", "Brief team", or "Issue RFI") and hover to see a tooltip description, then decide which action matches what you need to do.

Step 4: Run the selected action

Click the chosen action button; the button will briefly show a spinning icon while the action runs, and all other action buttons will be temporarily disabled until processing is complete.

Step 5: Confirm the outcome and continue

Once processing finishes, the buttons become active again; check for any updated status, confirmation, or error message in the panel, then continue with your next lifecycle task as needed.
