Manage temporary works permit actions from the workspace item

Use the Actions bar on a temporary works item to start the correct BS 5975 permit-to-load or permit-to-strike flow.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the temporary works item in the workspace​

Navigate to the workspace and select the relevant temporary works item so that the item detail view opens, showing the Actions bar for that item.

Step 2: Review available permit actions in the Actions bar​

In the item detail view, look at the Actions bar to see which permit transitions, such as permit-to-load or permit-to-strike, are currently available for the selected temporary works item.

Step 3: Start a permit-to-load flow​

From the Actions bar, choose the option to issue a permit-to-load so that the system opens the BS 5975 Issue Permit dialog configured for a permit-to-load rather than applying a simple status change.

Step 4: Start a permit-to-strike flow​

From the Actions bar, choose the option to issue a permit-to-strike so that the system opens the BS 5975 Issue Permit dialog configured for a permit-to-strike instead of flipping the status directly.

Step 5: Confirm the correct permit type in the dialog​

In the BS 5975 Issue Permit dialog, check that the permit type shown matches the action you selected in the Actions bar, ensuring the correct permit flow is followed for the temporary works item.
