Manage the installing contractor for a package
Update and verify the installing contractor for a lifecycle package, and open the contractor’s stakeholder profile.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the package detail surface
Navigate to the relevant lifecycle package and open its detail surface so you can review all associated information, including the installing contractor.
Step 2: Locate the installing contractor field
Scroll through the package details until you find the Installing contractor row, which shows the current contractor name as a clickable link alongside an inline edit control.
Step 3: View the contractor’s stakeholder profile
Select the contractor name link in the Installing contractor row to open the company stakeholder page for that organisation in a new view.
Step 4: Start editing the installing contractor
In the Installing contractor row, choose the inline edit control (for example, the Edit button or pencil icon) to activate the picker and begin changing the assigned contractor.
Step 5: Select a new contractor
Use the inline picker to search for and select the correct contractor organisation; the field will update to show the new contractor name while keeping it as a clickable link.
Step 6: Confirm the updated contractor assignment
Save or confirm your changes so the lifecycle package is now associated with the new installing contractor, and verify that the updated name still links to the contractor’s stakeholder page.
