Use contextual safety actions
Use contextual call-to-action buttons to trigger the next safety or lifecycle task directly from the current screen.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Review the available safety actions
On the relevant lifecycle screen, locate the "Safety actions" (or lifecycle-specific) panel and review the list of available buttons, each labelled with the action it will perform.

Step 2: Check for any error messages
If an error has occurred with a previous action, read the red error message displayed beneath the heading to understand what went wrong before proceeding.

Step 3: Choose a contextual action
Identify the button that best matches what you need to do now, such as requesting RAMS, reviewing a submission, raising a permit to work, or issuing an RFI.

Step 4: Trigger the selected action
Click the chosen action button; the system immediately starts processing it and may open a new screen, panel, or workflow relevant to that action.

Step 5: Wait while the action runs
While your chosen action is being processed, a spinning icon appears on that button and all contextual action buttons become disabled to prevent duplicate requests.

Step 6: Review the result or next steps
Once processing completes, follow any on-screen instructions, complete any opened workflow, or review the outcome; if an error appears, use the message shown to decide what to try next.
