Manage required handover items

Review, filter and update required handover items, including statuses and supporting evidence, to track handover completion.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Required items tab

Navigate to the handover and switch to the Required items tab to see all items grouped by category with their completion counts.

Step 2: Filter items by status

Use the filter chips at the top (All, Missing, Pending, Provided, Accepted) to focus on items with a specific status.

Step 3: Expand a category group

Click the chevron next to a category header to expand or collapse the list of required items within that category.

Step 4: Review item details and status

For each item, review its name, current status pill and any attached evidence shown within the expanded category.

Step 5: Change the status of an item

Open the status control for an item and select a new status such as Missing, Pending, Provided, Accepted, Rejected or N/A to reflect its current state.

Step 6: Attach evidence to an item

Select the "+ Attach evidence" option on a Missing item or use the evidence picker to upload or link supporting documents.

Step 7: Remove attached evidence

Use the evidence controls on an item to remove or replace attachments that are no longer relevant.

Step 8: Add a new required item

Click the add button in the relevant category to create a new required item, then enter its details so it appears in the list.

Step 9: Update an item’s details

Edit the inline fields, such as the item name or notes, to keep the required information accurate and up to date.

Step 10: Delete an item

Use the item actions menu or delete icon, confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialogue and remove the item from the list.

Step 11: Apply a handover template

Open the template picker, filtered by handover direction, and apply a predefined template to quickly populate standard required items.

Step 12: Save current items as a template

Use the Save as template option to store the current configuration of required items for reuse on future handovers.

Step 13: Monitor completion progress

Review the handover completion bar at the top of the tab to track how many required items have been completed across all categories.
