Configure board column settings
Adjust work-in-progress limits and visibility options for an individual board column.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open column settings
Open the board and select the column you want to configure, then click its settings or options icon to open the Column Settings panel.

Step 2: Set the work-in-progress (WIP) limit
In the Column Settings panel, enter the maximum number of items allowed in the column; enter 0 if you do not want to enforce a WIP limit.

Step 3: Hide the column if required
Tick "Hide column (items still exist)" if you want to hide the column from normal board view while keeping all existing items in that column.

Step 4: Choose whether the column is collapsed by default
Tick "Collapse by default" if you want the column to appear collapsed when the board is first opened, helping to reduce visual clutter.

Step 5: Save your column settings
Click "Save" to apply your changes; the panel will close automatically when the settings are saved successfully and the column will update on the board.

Step 6: Review saved settings when reopening
Reopen the Column Settings panel for the same column to confirm that the WIP limit, hide option and collapse option reflect your previously saved values.

Step 7: Check behaviour if saving fails
If saving fails due to a network or system issue, the Column Settings panel remains open so you can retry saving or adjust your changes without losing them.
