Link items to project artefacts
Use the item selector to search for and link existing programme tasks, forms or documents to the current project item.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the item link selector
Locate the item linking field in your current view and click anywhere inside the selector to open the dropdown list of linkable items.

Step 2: Load available items
Once the dropdown opens, wait briefly while the system securely fetches all relevant tasks, forms or documents for this project; a loading indicator is shown until the list is ready.

Step 3: Search for a specific item
Type keywords into the search box at the top of the dropdown to filter the list by item name or description, narrowing down to the item you want to link.

Step 4: Review item details
In the filtered list, review each item’s name, description, status and date, along with its icon indicating whether it is a task, form or document, to confirm you have the correct artefact.

Step 5: Add an item link
Click on an item in the dropdown to add it to the selection; the item appears as a selected pill or tag in the selector area and is recorded as linked to the current context.

Step 6: Remove an existing item link
To unlink an item, click the X icon on its selected pill or tag in the selector area; the item is removed from the list of linked artefacts for this context.

Step 7: Close the item link selector
Click outside the dropdown area or press Escape to close the selector once you have finished adding or removing linked items; your changes are saved automatically in the current view.
