Understand the next step for a workspace item

See a clear, single recommended next step for RAMS and package items so you can move work forward in the right order.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the workspace item detail view​

In your workspace board, select a RAMS or package item to open its detail view and see all current actions and status.

At the top of the detail view, look for the primary call to action that highlights the single recommended next step for this item.

Step 3: Ignore secondary or disabled actions​

Note that other buttons or greyed-out actions may be visible, but they will not conflict with the clearly signposted recommended next step.

Step 4: Follow the next step for RAMS reviews​

For RAMS with multiple safety actions, use the recommended next step banner to see whether you should add a reviewer, review risks, or return to draft first.

Step 5: Follow the next step for draft packages​

For draft packages, use the recommended next step to set required details, such as the contractor, before submitting the ITP for review.

Step 6: Confirm the item progresses correctly​

After completing the recommended action, refresh or reopen the item to ensure the next suggested step now reflects its updated status.
