Understand the lifecycle status bar on item detail pages
The lifecycle status bar helps you quickly see an item's stage, why it is there, SLA risk and what to do next, without scrolling.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: View the lifecycle status bar at the top of the item
When you open a lifecycle item or task, look at the always-visible bar at the top of the detail view to see the current lifecycle stage, the reason it is in that stage and its SLA status at a glance.

Step 2: Check the current lifecycle stage
Read the stage chip on the left of the bar to confirm which lifecycle stage the item is in so you can understand where it sits in the overall process.

Step 3: Review why the item is in this stage
Use the explanatory text next to the stage to understand why the item is currently in this stage, helping you quickly recall the latest decision or context.

Step 4: Assess SLA status and urgency
Look at the SLA pill, which combines an icon, colour and timing information, to see whether the item is on track, approaching an SLA warning or already in breach so you can prioritise your attention.

Step 5: Jump to blockers and next steps
Use the link in the bar to jump straight to the "Next step" or blockers section, where you can see what is still needed and any actions required to move the item forward.

Step 6: Use the primary action when available
On task detail views, use the primary action button in the bar to immediately perform the main action for that task, without scrolling to other parts of the page.
