Manage and explore all project documents in one view
Use the unified documents view to browse, filter, review, and open all documents for a project from a single, powerful dashboard.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the unified documents view
Navigate to your project and open the Data or Documents area to see the unified documents view, which lists all documents in a single place.

Step 2: Review document status and key information
Scan the documents list or cards to see titles, sources, status, comparison indicators, and whether each document is linked to external CDE connections.

Step 3: Apply quick filter presets
Use the preset filter chips (for example, by status or source) at the top of the view to instantly narrow the list down to the most relevant documents.

Step 4: Use advanced filters for precise results
Open the advanced filter panel to combine multiple filters such as document type, source system, status, or other attributes to refine the results.

Step 5: Switch between table and card layouts
Toggle between grid and list layouts to view documents as detailed rows or visual cards, depending on the level of detail or overview you need.

Step 6: Search across all documents
Use the search box to find documents by name or keywords, combining it with filters to locate specific files quickly in large projects.

Step 7: Check and manage CDE connections
Use the CDE connection indicator to confirm whether your project is connected to external CDEs and see if documents are synchronised from those systems.

Step 8: Select multiple documents for bulk actions
Select several documents from the list to reveal the bulk action bar, allowing you to perform actions on multiple files at once where enabled.

Step 9: Open a document in split-pane detail view
Click a document to open the split-pane detail layout, where you can review its content, connections, versions, and comments in separate tabs.

Step 10: Generate or regenerate reports from templates
Where available, open the document generation dialog to create new reports from templates or regenerate existing virtual documents using AI-assisted tools.

Step 11: Upload or create new documents
Use the upload drawer or template picker to add new documents or virtual reports to the project, ensuring the unified view stays up to date.
