Review documents in the grid using document cards
Use document cards to quickly scan, understand, and prioritise project documents from different sources in a unified grid view.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Locate the document grid
Open the documents area of the application and scroll to the grid where each file is represented as a document card showing its key details.

Step 2: Identify documents by type and source
Use the coloured icon tile and file-type symbol on each card to see at a glance whether a document is uploaded, from a CDE, a report, or generated, and what file format it is.

Step 3: Check document title and reference
Read the prominent title and reference on the card, which provide the document’s display name and internal or project-specific reference to help you confirm you have the right file.

Step 4: Review source and status badges
Look at the inline source and status badges to understand where the document comes from and whether it is processing, current, or in another lifecycle state.

Step 5: Skim the summary snippet
Use the two-line summary snippet on the card to quickly understand the document’s content or purpose without opening the full file.

Step 6: Assess tags and categorisation
Review up to three visible tags on the card, and note any "+N" indicator, to see how the document is categorised by type, topic, or discipline.

Step 7: Check author, updates, and revision
In the card footer, confirm who last updated the document, when it was updated, how many references it has, and which revision you are looking at.

Step 8: Open a document from its card
Click anywhere on the document card to open the selected document for full review, using the main on-click action provided by the grid.

Step 9: Open the changes or comparison view
When available, use the comparison control on the card to jump directly into the changes view and review differences between revisions.

Step 10: Use selection and hover states for triage
Move your cursor over cards to highlight them, and select a card when needed, to visually track which documents you are actively reviewing or prioritising.
