Search project documents

Use structured filters to find project documents by keyword, type, status, file format and date range.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the document search panel

Navigate to the area of the project where documents are listed; the document search bar appears at the top of the list with a keyword field and filter controls.

Step 2: Enter a keyword or phrase

Click in the search input field and type part of the document name, reference or other text; the search will be prepared based on your entry.

Step 3: Filter by document type

Open the document type filter (often under a filter icon or labelled control), tick one or more document types that are relevant to your search, and close the filter to apply the selection.

Step 4: Filter by file extension

Use the filter options to select one or more file extensions (such as pdf, docx, xlsx or dwg) so that only documents in those formats are included in the results.

Step 5: Filter by document status

Open the status drop-down, choose the document status you want to focus on (for example, approved or in review), and let the list refresh to show only documents with that status.

Step 6: Filter by processing status

Use the processing status selector to limit results to documents with a specific processing state, such as accepted; by default, only accepted documents are included.

Step 7: Include or exclude deleted documents

Adjust the deleted documents filter to choose whether to include deleted items, exclude them (the default), or focus only on deleted documents, depending on what you need to find.

Step 8: Apply a date range filter

Open the date range picker, enable date filtering, then choose a start and end date to restrict results to documents uploaded within that period.

Press Enter or use the search button to apply all selected filters; the document list updates to show only items that match your criteria.

Step 10: Clear all search filters

Use the clear search control (often shown as an X icon near the search input) to remove the keyword and all filters, returning the list to its default view.
