Manage project user details and roles

View a project member’s details, adjust their role, and send or resend an invitation to join the project.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the user detail panel

In the project’s team or members list, select the user whose details you want to review; the User Detail Panel opens on the side, showing their name, contact information, membership status, and current project role.

Step 2: Review contact and membership information

Check the user’s email address, phone number, organisation, and membership information shown in the panel to confirm you are viewing the correct person and understand their current access.

Step 3: Edit contact details (if available)

If an Edit or pencil icon is shown for contact details, select it to open the contact editing form, update the user’s information as needed, and then save your changes.

Step 4: Update the user’s project role

Open the role drop-down in the panel, choose an appropriate role from the available options, and confirm to apply the new role so their permissions are updated.

Step 5: Manage advanced permissions (if enabled)

If a Manage permissions action is available, select it to adjust any advanced project permissions for the user, then save and return to the panel.

Step 6: Send or resend a project invitation

If the user has not yet accepted their invitation, use the Invite or Resend invitation option in the panel to open the invitation dialog, confirm the email address, and send the invitation; a confirmation message appears when it is successfully sent.

Step 7: Save changes to the user

When you have finished updating roles or details, select the Save changes button so your edits are applied to the project and any affected views are refreshed.

Step 8: Remove the user from the project (if required)

If a Remove user option is available and you need to revoke access, select it, confirm the removal in the prompt, and the user’s membership will be removed from the project.

Step 9: Close the user detail panel

When you have finished, select the close (X) icon at the top of the panel to return to the full project view.
