Embed and manage reference documents in Compose mode
Use Compose mode to insert, preview and adjust embedded reference documents within a composed document.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the composition surface
Navigate to the document you want to work on and switch to Compose mode to see your content broken into structured blocks with insert points between them.

Step 2: Add a new document using the picker
Select the document picker control and choose a reference such as "Drainage Survey" to insert it as an embedded document card in your composition.

Step 3: Choose specific pages or the full document
In the page picker, review the current selection message and either confirm specific pages or choose to use the full document before inserting it into the block.

Step 4: Preview the selected page
Check the embedded document card to see a page preview showing the selected page number so you can confirm you have chosen the correct section.

Step 5: Adjust or remove embedded content
Use the controls on the embed card or nearby insert points to remove, reposition or replace the embedded document while keeping the rest of your composition intact.

Step 6: Save your structured changes
When you are happy with the arrangement, save your changes so the system records the structured operations while preventing saving if nothing has changed.
