Manage an embedded document in a composed document

Inserted documents can be reviewed in context, with a clear indication of which pages will appear in PDF and print exports.

Steps

Step 1: Review the embedded document preview

View the embedded document card in your composed document, including the thumbnail, title, and source details so you can identify the correct file.

Step 2: Check which pages are included in exports

Read the page badge and export note on the card to confirm whether the full document or a specific page will be included in PDF and print exports.

Step 3: Open the full document for review

Select "View full document" on the card to open the full document viewer and verify the contents before finalising your composed document.

Step 4: Adjust the embedded page (when allowed)

If page selection is enabled, choose "Change page" to pick a different page from the source document to show in the embed and in exports.

Step 5: Remove the embedded document (when allowed)

Use the remove option on the card to delete the embedded document from your composed document if it is no longer needed.
