Identify document type from a document card

Use the document card badges to quickly understand whether a file is an uploaded report, a generated document, or another unsupported format.

Steps

Step 1: Open the documents list

Navigate to the documents area of the application where your files are displayed as cards in a grid or list layout.

Step 2: Locate the relevant document card

Scroll through the list and find the document card for the item you are interested in, using the title or reference if needed.

Step 3: Check the badge for uploaded reports

If the document was uploaded as a report without a thumbnail, look for the RPT badge on the card to confirm it is a report-type document.

Step 4: Check the badge for generated documents

If the document was created by the system and has no thumbnail, look for the GENERATED badge to confirm it was generated rather than uploaded.

Step 5: Check the badge for other unsupported file types

For other uploads without thumbnails, look for a badge showing the file extension in uppercase to understand the underlying file type.
