Update a document's status
Change a document's status so everyone on the project knows exactly where it stands, whether it's still a draft or ready to use.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the status menu
On the document, select "Change status" to open the menu and see its current status.

Step 2: Check the current status
Look at the label on the button (for example, "For Review" or "Current") to confirm where the document stands right now.

Step 3: Set a new status for an uploaded document
For a document someone uploaded, pick the right option from the menu, such as "Draft", "For Review", "In Progress", "Approved", "Rejected", or "Archived".

Step 4: Set a new status for a generated document
For a document created in the system, pick from options such as "Draft", "Pending Validation", "Valid", "Current", "Superseded", or "Archived".

Step 5: Confirm the status has changed
Close the menu and check the button now shows the new status you chose.

Step 6: Understand unfamiliar status labels
If a document's status doesn't match one of the usual options, the system shows a plain-English version instead, such as "Pending Validation", so it's still clear what's happening.
