Update a document status

Use the status control to review and update the current status of an uploaded or generated document.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the document status menu

Select the "Change status" button on the document to open the status menu and view the current status.

Step 2: Review the current document status

Check the status label shown on the button (for example, "For Review" or "Current") to confirm the document's present state.

Step 3: Choose a new status for an uploaded document

For uploaded documents, select the appropriate option such as "Draft", "For Review", "In Progress", "Approved", "Rejected", or "Archived" from the menu.

Step 4: Choose a new status for a generated document

For generated documents, choose from options such as "Draft", "Pending Validation", "Valid", "Current", "Superseded", or "Archived" to update its status.

Step 5: Confirm the updated status

After selecting a status, close the menu and check that the button now displays the new status label.

Step 6: Understand unmapped status values

When a raw system status does not match a predefined option, the control automatically displays a human-readable version such as "Pending Validation".
