Edit a project report inline
Use the inline editor to update a project report’s title, content, tags, references, and images directly in the split view, then save your changes.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the inline report editor
In the split view, select an existing report or choose to create a new one; the inline editor opens showing the report title, content area, and toolbar.

Step 2: Update the report title
Click into the title field at the top of the editor and type a clear, descriptive name so the report is easy to recognise later.

Step 3: Edit the main report content
Click in the main content area and type or paste your text; use the toolbar buttons for bold, italic, underline, bullet lists, numbered lists and links to improve readability.

Step 4: Add references to project documents with @
Type the @ symbol in the content to open the project document search popover, then choose the relevant document so it is inserted as a reference in the report body.

Step 5: Manage report tags
Use the tags editor beneath or beside the content to add, remove, or rename tags so the report can be filtered and grouped correctly by category or topic.

Step 6: Insert an image into the report
Click the image icon in the formatting toolbar to open the image insert modal, then provide the image details and confirm to insert image HTML into the report at the current cursor position.

Step 7: Review unsaved changes and save
Check your updates in the editor; when ready, select the save option to send the report to the Reports API and wait for confirmation that the changes have been stored.

Step 8: Cancel editing if you do not want to keep changes
If you decide not to proceed, use the cancel option to close the inline editor and discard any unsaved changes to the report.
