Manage embedded document cards in a report

Use an embedded document card to show either a full document or a single selected page, and control how it appears in PDF and print exports.

Steps

Step 1: Add a document as an embedded card

Select the document you want to show in your report so it appears as an embedded card with its title and export information.

Step 2: Review how the document appears in exports

Check the export note on the card to confirm whether the full document or only a specific page will be included in PDF and print exports.

Step 3: Check page count and selected page

For multi-page documents, review the page badge to see the total number of pages or which single page has been selected for export.

Step 4: Confirm the document thumbnail or fallback preview

Verify that the first-page thumbnail loads correctly; if the thumbnail cannot load, use the fallback "First page" glyph as a simple preview.

Step 5: Update the selected page (when allowed)

If editing is enabled, use the "Change page" button to choose a different page to embed so only that page is included in exports.

Step 6: Open or remove the embedded document

Use the "View full document" option to open the complete file, or choose "Remove" to take the embedded document card out of your report when available.
