Adjust the timeline view
Use the timeline toolbar to move through dates, change zoom levels, and control grouping and dependency display on the Gantt view.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the timeline view with the toolbar visible
Ensure you are on the timeline or Gantt view where the top toolbar shows navigation arrows, zoom options, and toggles for grouping and dependencies.

Step 2: Move to previous or next period
Click the left or right arrow buttons on the left side of the toolbar to move the visible timeline to the previous or next period, updating the date range shown.

Step 3: Jump directly to today
Select the "Today" button in the navigation area to centre the timeline on the current date so you can quickly see current work.

Step 4: Review the current date range
Check the date range text in the toolbar, which shows the formatted start and end dates so you know exactly which period you are viewing.

Step 5: Change the zoom level of the timeline
Choose between Week, Month, Quarter, or Year in the zoom controls to adjust how much time is shown and how detailed the columns appear on the timeline.

Step 6: Group items by phase
Use the Group by phase toggle in the toolbar to switch between a flat list and a phase-based grouping so work is organised according to project phases.

Step 7: Show or hide dependencies
Use the Dependencies toggle to display or hide dependency links between tasks, helping you focus either on scheduling relationships or on individual items.
