Manage tasks on the board
Use the task board to review, group and move work items through their lifecycle statuses across the project.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the task board view
Navigate to the task board to see all tasks laid out in status columns, including planned, in progress, blocked and completed work.

Step 2: Review task columns and statuses
Scan each column to understand how many tasks sit in each lifecycle status and spot bottlenecks, such as many items in blocked or for review.

Step 3: Group tasks by swimlane
Use the swimlane grouping control above the board to switch how tasks are grouped horizontally, for example by assignee, team or other available groupings.

Step 4: Change a task status by moving it
Drag a task card left or right to move it between columns, automatically updating its status as it progresses through the workflow.

Step 5: Navigate tasks using the keyboard
Use the supported keyboard shortcuts to move selected tasks between columns, updating their status without using the mouse.

Step 6: Open a task for full details
Click a task card to open its detailed view, where you can see full context and make deeper edits outside of the board.

Step 7: Adjust column visibility and limits
Configure each column to hide it, collapse it by default or set a work-in-progress limit so you can manage focus and avoid overloading the team.

Step 8: Save column preferences per project
Rely on the board to remember your column configuration for this project, so the same layout and limits are applied the next time you return.

Step 9: Page through large sets of tasks
When there are more tasks than fit on one board page, use the pagination controls to move between pages while keeping an accurate total task count in view.
