Filter and search tasks

Use presets, saved views, search, and advanced filters to quickly find the tasks you need to work on.

Steps

Step 1: Open the task filters

At the top of the task list, locate the filter bar with the search box, preset chips (such as All tasks and My tasks), and any saved views shown as secondary chips.

Step 2: Choose a preset view

Select a preset chip such as All tasks, My tasks, Due this week, Overdue, Blocked or needs attention, or Programme to instantly update the task list with that filter.

Step 3: Apply a saved view

If saved views are available, click a saved view chip in the bar to load its predefined combination of filters, sort order, and view mode.

Step 4: Search for specific tasks

Click into the search box and start typing part of a task name or keyword; after a short pause, matching results appear in a dropdown so you can scan them without leaving the page.

Step 5: Open a task from search results

In the search results dropdown, click a task to select it, which opens or focuses that task in the current task view.

Step 6: Expand advanced filters

Click the filter icon or Advanced filters area to open the advanced panel, where you can refine tasks by criteria such as assignee, dates, status, or other attributes.

Step 7: Clear advanced filters

Use the clear option in the advanced filters panel to remove any advanced criteria you have applied and return to the basic preset or search view.

Step 8: Adjust filters with the keyboard

Use the keyboard (for example, Tab to move focus and Enter to select) in the filter bar and search results so you can update filters without using the mouse.
